Who we are

15 Years in the Classroom.

Then I Left for Corporate.

I know both sides.

I spent 15 years teaching before leaving the classroom and moving into corporate work. My husband, Rich, has spent 20 years teaching and is still in the classroom today.

Over time, I started noticing something interesting: while teachers were talking about leaving education for corporate careers, more corporate and tech professionals seemed to be wondering about going the other direction.

But becoming a teacher is a big decision. And from the outside, it can be surprisingly hard to understand what you're actually signing up for.

That's why I created Considering Teaching, to give people a place to explore the profession before deciding whether they want to pursue it.

We're not here to convince you to teach.

Teaching might be right for you. It might not be. Both are perfectly good conclusions.

Still wondering whether teaching might be for you?
